From Furnace to Flame: A Journey In Glass
I took up the Silk Road beads again in 2018. Working out of the storage shed, I attempted to make the set of beads again, this time with the dual fuel torch. I definitely saw a marked improvement. I made a necklace out of the best example of each bead and entered that in the Midwinter Arts and Science event hosted by the South Downs SCA group out of Atlanta. It was a populace judged competition, and other than popping beads on the table, I gave no thought to presentation. I did get a few tokens left for my work. Below is my bag of tokens and the other entrants.
