Historical Glass Works at Ga. Renaissance Fair

From Furnace to Flame: A Journey In Glass

Also I made mead!

Made by Historical Glass Works

I watched the demo at Historical Glassworks twice while there for the day. I picked up a beaker made by them and payed close attention to how they do things, trying to learn as much as I can from observation. We watched Jason Klein and Leslie Pierce work and spent time talking to Leslie Pierce who is also the one who made the beaker pictured above. I admire there work a lot. One of the things I have enjoyed over the past few years, is becoming friends with other glass workers.

Found an empty booth to take some pics in.

While other people made sour dough starters during the pandemic, I taught myself to make mead. This Mr Beer container worked great for mixing the cleaning agent. I ended up making a few bottles and its time to try some more. I enjoy having my mead in my beaker from Historical Glassworks.
