Striped Mosaic Bowl Roman Inspired l (First Vesion)
This is my first attempt at making this Mosaic Striped bowl, it is not as complex as the originals. The pattern is inspired by a striped mosaic bowl dating from 25 BCE to 50 CE. The item was made by slumping glass in to a mold. The piece is 7 inches in diameter and 2 inchs deep with a flat bottom. The glass 6 mm thick. The glass is COE 90 Bullseye. This rim is hand polished with wet/dry sand paper finished with 2000 grit.
The bowl slumped into the mold out of alinement. This has left the rim very asymmetrical.
