Ribe Inspired Iron Age Necklace
This 17 1/2 inch necklace is strung on stainless steel wire and finished with silver findings. It is inspired by one found in the Ribe region that dates to the Iron Age. I matched the original, bead for bead, as closely as I could. The original find number is ESM 2287x037 and is in the online catalog of Sydvestjyske Museer. The beads are handmade lampwork beads using either COE 104 glass, recycled Coca Cola glass, or recycled stainless scrap. There are two silver foil beads encased in yellow glass in the piece.
Each one is handmade and there will be variations between individual stands.
Contact me if you need to have the item extended.
