These annular brooches are made from hand struck reproduction coins. The coin center is then punched out and the outer rim becomes the brooch. The large ones are about the size of a quarter and are made from a reproduction of the Constantine VII Porphyrogenitus Coin or Dirham-Abbasid Caliphate Coin.
These can be made from fine silver or copper and the pin is made of a matching metal; sterling silver or copper.
