Birka Quarts and Carnilian Necklace
This necklace is inspired by Birka Grave 464. I have strung the beads in two different configurations one using the pattern that the beads are presented in the other is an alternate interpretation with the same number of beads. The Beads are 19 Quartz (Rock Crystal) some to the quarts are irregular in shape some are smoky quarts. I did this to try and get a look similar to the originals that varried in shape and color. the remaining 52 beads are cornelian beads. The necklace is strung on stainless steel wire and finished with two lamp work beads and silver findings. individual peaces will very to some degree based on the beads available during construction.
