The Vikings Begin Exhibit-Mobile, Alabama

From Furnace to Flame: A Journey In Glass

This was my first road trip in my new war wagon. This is better suited to my needs for the growing business than my Mustang was.

We got up early and headed to Mobile, Alabama to see the exhibit The Vikings Begin.

The production value on the exhibit was stellar even thought it was small and could be viewed in under an hour. It was well worth it.

The exhibit included beads of amber and glass as well as a glass beaker and bowl. Other objects that I found of great interest were the turtle brooches, coins, and scales.

The bowl exhibited an abundance of reticulated decorations of green and yellow and was my favorite object that I saw.

We finished the museum time by visiting the near by fort and Mobile history exhibit where I found, you guessed it, beads.

I appreciated my partner taking this trip with me. He is a steller travel buddy. I would not have grown as much as I have as an artist without his support.

The day this blog posted, we are also celebrating Atlanta Pride and National Coming Out day. My partner and I just want to share our love for the community through our Art and Activism.
