Veil Pin on Recycled Lampwork Mandrel
This is a set of two veil pins made on recycled stainless steel mandrels. The pins are 4 inches long. The design is based on beads found at Ribe.
As mandrels are used, they sometimes become bent and the bent portion is cut off. Over time, they become too short to use as mandrels for making beads and they end their life as these veil pins.
Note: These pins are sharp, be careful with them. They will bend with pressure so use with care. The glass may eventually crack or break and should be disposed of if they become damaged.
