Norse Ribe Coin Necklace With Cut Beads
This Norse inspired coin necklace is 18 inches long. It is strung on stainless steel cable and finished with sterling silver findings, marked .925. There are three silver .999 Constantine VII Porphyrogenitus Reproduction coins and two silver .999 Cnut Penny Reproductions. Each coin is hand struck with handmade dies. The bails are silver and soldered into place. All the glass beads are handmade lampwork beads from my limited collection. There are carnelian and quartz (rock crystal) beads as well. The beads are based on ones found at Ribe. There are 4 glass cut beads. Their facets were cut using lapidary tools.
The beads are polychromatic Ribe beads as well as monochromatic beads from 750 to 800 BCE. The remaining beads are made of carnelian. The coins are from 945-1030 CE.
The price has been reduced by $15 due to some solder that was misapplied and obscures some of the coin details on two coins.
