Greek Roman Inspired Amber Bowl (Second Vesion)

from $19.99

This is my second attempt at making this Amber Bowl, it is not as deep as the original and the color is not as yellow as it should be. The pattern is inspired by a proved bowl dating from 140 BCE to 50 BC. The item was made by Draping glass on to a mold. The piece is 5 1/2 inches in diameter and 1 1/2 inchs deep with a rounded bottom. The glass 6 mm thick. The glass is COE 90 Bullseye. This rim is hand polished with wet/dry sand paper finished with 2000 grit.

There are two lines that transferred from kiln shelf to glass during the fusing stages that carried over into the final product. The rim has a shallow spot that formed during the draping process. the rim is asymmetrical.
