Western Mediterranean Evil Eye Bead Necklace.
This 17 1/2 inch necklace is made of 17 evil eye beads that are based on ones in the CMOG. The original beads are from the Eastern Mediterranean, possibly Carthage. The original beads date to 600 to 250 BCE. I chose amethyst as they have a long history of use in the Mediterranean area. The piece is strung on stainless steel wire and finished with sterling silver findings.
