Foil Substitute Dichroic Glass

From Furnace to Flame: A Journey In Glass

One bead that has repeatedly come up in my research are foil beads. Usually, they are segmented. The beads are made with silver or gold foil. I was hesitant at first to attempt to make the foil beads. I decided to try making something that looked like a foil bead using this modern dichroic glass.

While not the same look as the gold and foil, they do make for a fun substitution. I was not satisfied, despite liking these beads, so I would eventually go on to try the foil beads. I also did not give up on finding a cheaper substitute.
